Sakamoto Ryoma was a samurai from Kochi in the late Edo era. He was an influencer to close the Tokugawa Shogunate era peacefully. He was very unique because he was pretty much trying to do anything peacefully in the violent Samura era. He was also very open to and interested in the western culture which was just started being introduced to Japan.
